Middle School Minute

Here’s a look at what we’ve been up to:
Reading: Turn the Page
Students have been exploring our new curriculum, reading engaging stories, and strengthening important reading skills. Our first FAST Progress Monitoring assessment (PM1) will take place on September 4th.
Math: Make It Add Up
Students have been reviewing foundational skills while tackling new concepts. You can support their learning at home by asking what they are working on in class and checking in about homework. FAST PM 1 will be September 3rd.
Science: Curious Minds
Our students are becoming experts in lab safety! They are learning the procedures and expectations that will help prepare them for all the exciting experiments ahead.
U.S. History: Then & Now
Everything is Revolutionary! Students are digging into the American Revolution and exploring the important differences between Loyalists and Patriots.
Civics: Be in the Know
Students recently discovered that there is still a lot to learn about America and its government! After taking a practice U.S. citizenship test, they realized just how much there is to explore. We have plenty of meaningful and fun learning ahead of us!
Our elective classes are also off to a fantastic start. We are excited about all the learning, growth, and memorable experiences this year will bring!
